Psoriasis is an inherited condition resulting from the overproduction of skin cells and presents in various forms including patches, plaques, arthritis and scalp “dandruff”. There are many successful treatments for psoriasis, mostly topical, but for patients with resistant disease and systemic disease, oral medications under regular review are available. Biological treatments are available via rheumatologists and dermatologists who we can refer to if the need arises.
