Providing assessment and individualised treatment for mental health
With over thirty percent of patients suffering from anxiety at some time in their lives and more than one in seven women suffering from post-natal depression, mental health is an important aspect of general medical care and requires an empathetic clinician to support patients during these difficult times and prevent chronic mental health disease. Transient mental health conditions managed well, with the correct support, can remain transient return patients to normal function. For patients with chronic mental health conditions, anxiety, depression, PTSD, Eating disorders, (to name a few) we offer treatment and management under the Medicare Better Access program and provide referrals to psychiatrists as required, usually providing ongoing management in clinic to reduce out of pocket costs to patients. Please note adult ADHD programs are not currently available and there are no WA psychiatrist currently taking referrals for new ADHD patient diagnosis and management. (We aim to provide ADHD management for adults from March 2024)
